Tuesday night not only found Battle teams competing against each other but also the hot and muggy weather. Although we won’t complain as there was no rain and the warmth didn’t stop any of the strong arm completion in the Tug-of-War.
It was the battle of the strongest and biggest as Cargill, Inc. eventually pulled the defending 2013 winner GE Capital Retail Finance team across the line for the 2014 victory. The night also saw DP&L – Edison defeating Springfield City Schools for the recreational bracket crown. It was an intense and fun completion all the way around!
In Team Ski we saw LJB Inc. taking the number one position with a time of 1:43:91 followed closely by NewPage Corporation and Standard Register – Safety. If you have not ever competed in team ski before than you cannot appreciate how well these teams did!
Overall, the quest for Grand Champion narrowed as Reynolds & Reynolds – Safety still holds the lead but LexisNexis is closing the gap while NewPage Corporation makes a big move from ninth to third in the overall results thru June 3, 2014.
Tonight is our off night so everyone rest up and get ready for the always enjoyable Bowling Event tomorrow night!
