Did you catch the first weekend of Battle? It was stellar! All the teams kicked things off Saturday on the volleyball court. After several bump, set and spikes we saw four teams propelled into the finals tonight. East Champion LexisNexis will take on North Champion WinSupply while the other semi-final will see West Champion WilmerHale against South Champion Reynolds & Reynolds Blue. If you witnessed these four teams play – tonight’s finals should be a treat. Good luck to our final four!
Sunday brought nice weather for the miniature golf competition. Seems like every team had a hole-in-one! With a combined score of 172, Reynolds & Reynolds Blue took first place followed by CareSource (177) and Taylor Communications (178). Thanks again to all the volunteers that helped because this event would not be possible without you!
Sunday night was time for the pool. The swimming relay found teams pushing like the prize was Olympic gold! We also saw every possible swimming style in the pool. Once again, the Special Olympic athletes helped teams out and reminded us all why Battle is important! Starting to feel like a broken record here but Reynolds & Reynolds Blue once again took first place with a time of 1:17:32 while LexisNexis was on their heels in second (1:19:43) and CareSource touched the wall in third (1:27:83).
One of the most fun events to watch and final event of Sunday night is the Inner Tube Relay. The Battle Board still doesn’t know what the best method is for the fastest time but maybe you should ask Reynolds & Reynolds Blue because they took first with a 2:15:13. Reynolds & Reynolds Black was a tube length away in second (2:16:96) while LexisNexis stopped the Rey Rey top three sweep with a 2:21:68. Reynolds & Reynolds White came in fourth – Apparently Reynolds spends some time at the pool!
It shouldn’t be a surprise that Reynolds & Reynolds Blue is our overall number one through 6/5/16. CareSource is second and Reynolds & Reynolds White is third. Stay tuned as it is still early with all the fun still to come set for this week. Volleyball finals are tonight! All the results are HERE.
